For those for whom life has been an uphill struggle, a constant, pitched battle against systemic racism and a fixed economic system, life is all about drive. About the will to succeed despite the odds. Nowhere is this more evident than in the wildly inventive and passionate world of Black car culture, where enthusiasts show off vastly different vehicles in a display not only of automotive ardor but also of their own personal success. In every episode of Black Drive, hiphop legend and car collector Swizz Beatz will visit a distinct car-loving locale, where alongside a local activist he'll explore the area's Black car culture and ultimately bring together two otherwise disparate car clubs over a shared love of all things automotive, and an appreciation for collectively beating the odds through sheer drive alone.
